Elbeco Incorporated is a national manufcturer of public safety uniforms for law enforcement, fire service, corrections officers, EMT's, postal workers and more. In business since 1907 we are a privately held company. We are seeking a Production Control Coordinator in our Reading Corporate Office. This is a newly created position to support our growth, which will be responsbile to assist the production department with issuing and tracking production work in process to maintain flow of product to finished goods inventory allowing for timely shipments to customers.
Issues production cut tickets to all aspects of Company’s internal factories and contractors based on production plans established.
Generates updated WIP reports and Style Delivery reports on a weekly basis.
Creates and maintains various process codes associated with cutting tickets and other reports as needed.
Issues production schedules to the various production facilities and monitor factory reports in support of timely deliveries.
Monitors and communicates to Director of Supply Chain all production WIP staging and delivery issues from weekly factory WIP reports.
Processes and communicates direct shipments including the splitting, transferring through warehousing and invoicing.
Requisitions piece goods in the company’s operating system.
Communicates inbound production QC priorities.
Monitors and communicates internally the status of special production orders to insure on-time delivery.
Maintains files of documentation, communications with internal factories and contractors.
Serves as back up to Purchasing Manager.
Takes on new tasks and assignments as they are deemed to be necessary to the functioning of the company.
- Excellent organizational skills. Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate effectively, using both the written and spoken word.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Education: 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience. Apparel industry experience a plus.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, with knowledge of business computer applications.
- Experience in working in an AS400 and MRP is highly desirable.
